River nodded. And she smiled at Lindsey's idea of a celebration. She could imagine him playing and singing, very very easily. Looking at him now, it was difficult to imagine him as a lawyer.
She nibbled her lower lip, thinking of her old apartment. There were a lot of good memories in it, but a lot of hard ones, too. River remembered a screaming fight with Simon, one that had hurt very badly. But there had been picnics with Hannibal, too. And there was a painting she'd done of Serenity, a mural on the wall... they might've painted over that by now.
"I don't think I want to go back," she said, confidently. She nodded her head to reinforce that.
Maybe she could help Hannibal make everybody dinner. That would be nice. Then he could meet the crew that was still around, and it would be like a party.
