In answer to the glance, Erik raised an eyebrow at the valence across the room, clearly the partner of the curtain that now held the dead man and his leaking fluids. For his part, he began pulling off the suitjacket from the corpse, a tricky bit of work to do, given the blood was still flowing. When he was done, the suit jacket was left wrapped neatly around the corpse's neck. It would aid to stop the leaking and pooling in the velvet as they carried the corpse down.
"We are," he finally answered, having decided. It would have been just as easy to have dismissed Hannibal to clean up the remainder here, while he took the body down to dispose of it. But another part of Erik wanted Hannibal to know - not to encourage him to continue to kill his performers, but to assure the man that if he had need, he was allowed to find his way back down again.
There were traps that would need deactivating. Erik would show him these secrets as well. The thought was... disconcerting. Enigma and Christine had seen his sanctuary. Neither of them had ever learned the secrets of his traps. And he'd never breathed a word of the long tunnels with their still, deep pools at the ends.
