If anyone else overheard this conversation, it might sound ridiculous. The situation was a little absurd, if one thought about it too much.
Sam looked at Fred in response to the question asked.
"I don't know. Guilt seems to be something Winchesters can carry for a long time," he said with a small laugh. "But I can try to just be... normal around you. Or as normal as I'll ever get."
He looked at the food she'd brought in, nothing that she seemed to be planning on a long haul here.
"Is there anything I can help with?"
The Men of Letters could wait. From the way the situation had been described, something was going haywire with the City which meant that all of their lives could be hanging in the balance. Which meant that the situation was a higher priority than anything else right now.
