Sam looked away to give the couple privacy while they kissed. He couldn't help but smile a little. Maybe he didn't want to be the third wheel for Dean and his superhero girlfriend, but he was still glad that Dean was happy. He'd wanted his brother to have some chance at a normal life for a long time. At the very least, he'd wanted him to find someone who gave him more of a reason to live than simply trudging on because their fight wasn't over.
He did find it interesting that the woman Dean had finally settled down with was a superhero. Then again, perhaps that was the best way to make sure she was safe against the Winchester curse. It did seem that people who got too close to them-especially women they loved-always seemed to end up getting hurt. Or worse. Sam just hoped that Dean had finally found a way around that apparent curse.
He looked up once Dinah spoke again. Her explanation actually made sense as to why her canary cry had stopped the ghost temporarily. Sam nodded, glad to have the logic behind the whole thing. There were too many things in the City that went unexplained.
His eyes lit up at the prospect of playing with the computer that had been used for the Justice League's command center for awhile. The other Sam had apparently been in there, but he hadn't and he couldn't help but feel a bit of envy there.
"Let's just get out of here before the ghost comes back. If you're offering, I wouldn't mind using whatever resources you have in the Clocktower."
He did his best to contain his excitement for the time being.
