"Yeah." Annie said at Fred's question about power source. "I need to be able to get to the brain itself, you know? It's like how a doctor looks at a sick person. It's all well and good to look at the finger and toes if they're acting up, but if the problem is a tumor in the brain, that's where you've gotta check."
She thought about that, the City being human. "That's the source I need to tap into. Whatever was trapped inside Thomas Townsend. Whatever it was that made the streets stop moving when he was around. That's the only real way to know what's wrong. Though, yeah. If he could just come back and tell us, that would also be great."
Annie finished off the lovely tacos and wiped her hands off with the napkins. When she got out of this room, she was going to do something for Fred in thanks for the meal.
"Whatever it is that we plug in, it has to be really powerful." She said after a moment of thought. "Something with a lot of processing capabilities. I can talk to simple machines as well as complex ones, but for what we're looking at here, I don't think it'll do to have a simple interface. I'll need to be able to run several things at the same time. Like a supercomputer. Think you can build a supercomputer? You can use anything you find in the shop."
