"You're not looking for a little wifi type thing, are you?" That would be too easy, wouldn't it? She gave Annie a hopeful smile, even if she had a feeling Annie needed something more than a tablet's connection to a very strange internet. "Unless you are?" Yes, she was hopeful. Her smile faded when Annie gave her a look and a shake of the head. That wasn't what the blond mutant was looking for.
"Thinking something more direct to the power source that's the City? What we're riding on, not the pretty trappings we're living in and all that? The turtle not the city people built on its back, right?" She was looking at her tablet; it wasn't exactly hooked into the grid, not physically. But, it was something?
Yet, it wasn't. There was a power source that she'd been looking for for some time. It had to run on something. There had to be a nervous system of some sort; it probably wasn't like everyone else's, or everything else's. Then again, everything wasn't like everything.
"This would work better if the City would just be a human again and tell us where it hurts." She had thought of asking Jesse to do that, but it seemed a cruel thing to do to God and City.
