"I don't know if kissing me would be a good idea. People who kiss me tend to disappear." Fred gave a slight smile as it was something of the truth. It was a very strange coincidence; it had to be. She shrugged and settled in a chair she pulled close, believing that Annie could certainly do as she'd asked.
"You're not the only one who can talk to computers." The brainy female laughed softly and nodded. It made sense to her anyway. She reached out and lightly touched Annie's arm. "Though I think you have a better way with things. So, eat your tacos, then we have business to discuss."
While Fred didn't want to tax her friend, she wanted to get to the heart of the matter. Then again, Fred would have visited whether there was a problem to solve or not. She curled up rather expertly in the chair and waited patiently. Most people might expect her to need things right then and there, but she could patient. Patient and persistent if need be.
"I've been looking for a place to stay. Well, not stay. Right now the City is letting me live in Jack's apartment - Jack the mayor or was the mayor. He's not the mayor anymore. I stay there right now, but he's gone. I am looking for a place to live, and a place to work. That's not why I'm here. I'm here for other things, but I thought you'd like to have some conversation while you ate. So, how are you, what have you been up to? Other than being in the hospital, I'm sorry that you are, by the way." She gave Annie another smile.
