The crone watched him almost absently. She remembered her first time in Mundy. She remembered her first time in many places, but Mundy had been so strange yet interesting. She was the magic where none existed - it had been lost long ago if it ever had been around in the first place.
"It is stuck in a present that many will recognize." Some would be confused by her words; she didn't worry about this one missing it. Her brow rose at the questions, and she had to laugh.
"What do you most enjoy? What moves you? I would say probably a champion. The City rarely brings those who aren't. You don't have the feeling of a...tyrant or evil mastermind." Her hand lifted. "That is not to say you aren't, but to say I highly doubt it. The City feels need for a strange champion, which makes you normal in that way. No champion here is..normal. Then I suppose they would not be champions if they were, normal."
She led him across the street wondering idly what the City would put before them. What would the City want to show its latest addition? Food, pretty things, the library?
"I enjoy many things. And my own desires tend to move me." She smiled slightly; she knew that sometimes it was how she was written, who she was deep down that put her in motion.
