"I am late." Jennifer nodded. "And there's no real news on that thing yet. Still working. Anything on your end?"
In all honesty, there was just a lot of information to go through. It wasn't that she had nothing, it was that she had a little too much to call it anything. Once she narrowed it all down, she felt like she'd have something good.
With a bit of a smile, Jen looked at Charlie in surprise. "You have a table? Like, we're going to be eating dinner at an actual table, and not at the kitchen island?"
Her eyes flicked to where Ted and Jo had disappeared from the stairs. "He must really like her."
Jennifer didn't have any jealousy about Ted getting a table for Jo's visit. She and Charlie had a different sort of relationship. The table was good for the other couple, but it would have felt a little strange if Charlie had gotten her a table for a dinner party. The way she and Charlie were, he would get her something more along the lines of a new gun.
