Sam was surprised to hear Dean admit that there was a fight that they couldn't win/shouldn't attempt. He frowned and couldn't help but wonder what Eric had done to elicit that sort of response. Or perhaps it was that Dean had more to lose now than he'd ever had. Sam thought that that was a good thing to some extent-his brother had always had a disregard for his own life and it seemed like Dinah might have given him something to live for and more importantly, helped him realize that he was more than just cannon fodder.
Sam didn't say any more on the vampire problem once Dean remarked on the table. He had been so focused on the books that the war table had barely registered. Now, he was wondering how he could have missed it. His jaw dropped open ever so slightly as he moved closer to what looked like a working model of the City. As he watched it, pieces even started to move.
"That can't be what I think it is... can it?" He looked at Dean for answers, in spite of the fact that he'd discovered this place first.
