Pepper Potts was currently standing in the middle of her boss' bedroom, clad in nothing more than a silk sheet, staring out at a city that she'd never seen before in her life, with absolutely no idea how she got here. Could she possibly get anymore stressed and flustered?
Why, yes! Yes, she could! And Tony Stark was just the one to do it to her.
"I will have you know that the electricity in my apartment went out during that storm last night," she muttered back at him, pushing a few strawberry-blond locks back away from her eyes in a nervous, fidgeting habit. "I didn't have any air condition...and it was really hot." Those eyes of hers narrowed and cut across at him side-long in a momentary stare. "Besides..why are you imagining what I sleep in anyways?"
But then she quickly waved the question off with a gesture of her hand. She was pretty sure that she didn't want to know the answer to that.
She resisted the childish urge to stick her tongue out at him as he sarcastically defended that ridiculous armor of his. He made it sound like it was an outlandish question...but she knew better. If Tony Stark actually wanted to build a time machine, she knew that he probably could.
Though it likely wouldn't be to bring the both of them to some strange City - more than likely it would be to catch a glimpse of the late Amazon women that liked to run about in little more than a loin cloth.
Turning around, Pepper dragged her cumbersome cloth along with her as she made her way towards his door with a little shuffling of her barefeet. "Well, I'm going to go see if I can find something to change into...and then we are going out. There has to be some kind of a logical explanation for all of this."
