As if it were the most natural thing in the world, Beauty leaned forward and flipped the lid of the basket with her fingertips. The bag full of bagels was next, which she carefully set within the basket. Politely, she left the lid open so Jo could put whatever else she wanted into it. And, because no one should be without fruit, especially in this house, she added a gift of a bright red apple and soft, delicious pear to the basket, too.
"I think I'd..." She didn't honestly think she'd like it... "I'd appreciate that," she said carefully, unwilling to lie. She had serious doubts that she could put holes in someone. "Have you ever, ah..." She winced then glanced sidelong at Jo. "You know..." Her hand floated in the air gently, stirring. "...ah, well... s...shot anyone... before?"
