Beauty's smile turned a little warmer, then. Ted. She had a great fondness for Ted, and it showed on her face. "He left about twenty minutes ago," Beauty said, then wrinkled up her nose. "Maybe thirty? He had to work. Are you a friend of his? Would you like to come in?"
She glanced around quickly before opening the door a little wider. Surely someone looking for Ted couldn't be a bad person. There wasn't anything bad about Ted.
The woman really looked like she could use a hand.
"How about you come in for a second?" Beauty offered again. The least she could do was get the poor woman a basket to put her things in.
