Edward paused on the step and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. Eddie sighed softly, and finally allowed his eyes to open slowly.
"I think everyone would've known if it was Bruce." Eddie replied, but pulled out his cell phone. He hated Bruce more than he hated jail, but Edward was curious to see if the scientist would know the whereabouts of his wife, and Eddie's daughter.
Clearing his throat, Edward called Bruce's phone.
Bruce heard the vibration of the phone as it shivered against his lab table, which caused the scientist to pull back from his work curiously. Reaching over, Bruce plucked the phone from the table and narrowed his eyes at the name flashing across the screen.
"What Eddie?" Bruce snapped, irritated that his father-in-law was even daring to call him, once the phone was answered and pressed to his face.
Eddie smirked at the irritation he could hear in Bruce's voice. "Would you happen to know where Enigma is?" Edward asked slowly.
Bruce blinked, shaking his head as if the man could see the action. "No. She's supposed to be in jail."
With that, Edward nodded and hung up the phone without even saying good bye. Eddie turned to Jonathan and frowned, "He has no idea where she is."
