Even if Lindsey did think Dinah could help, River wasn't certain that the City hadn't orchestrated this. Though she could see clearly how Dinah's testimony could help, that didn't necessarily mean much.

"You would help," River said, her voice very authoritative. "But that doesn't mean the City is going to allow it to matter. I think it's playing with me."
She'd thought that for some time. It started when Simon left. It played with everyone.
