She gave him a dirty look at the idea that he wasn't going to simply let her be, conscious and well, but she held out her arm almost instantly. She would always trust him, which was probably a very stupid thing, all things considered.
"Don't hurt me," she whispered softly, barely audible. She didn't just mean now, she meant in the future as well. She was tired of being hurt by those she trusted and wanted someone she could believe in.
