Logan did his best to avoid looking too unconcerned.
"Hasn't it always been that way?" he asked.
It was an honest question. He wasn't trying to dismiss the concern so much as point out that the only thing this bar had done was force everyone to play nice every so often. Which, he would admit, could ratchet up the tension outside.
"Some of the vampires have made pacts with a human that they won't take blood unless it's willingly offered," Logan added.
He didn't exactly mention that he was included in that group of vampires. He hadn't come right out and told Dean what he was, and he wasn't sure if the hunter had connected the dots yet.
Logan exhaled.
"It's not a great situation, but the City's done it and now everyone has to make the best of it. Every once in awhile, I've seen a vampire and hunter find common ground here."
It was rare, but sometimes the forced socialization led to unlikely acquaintanceships.
