Logan froze at that comment. He looked over at Dean, doing his best to keep his face stoic.
"Last I checked, there were two bars that were busted up to create this place," he pointed out mildly.
His desire to keep from tipping his hand to hunter was at odds with his desire to protect his new family's honor. There was the briefest impulse to simply take this outside and settle it then and there.
Logan had always been impulsive and there were times when he'd let his fists do the talking and becoming a vampire hadn't dulled those instincts. If anything, it had heightened them. Of course, he also had a little bit less instinct to prove himself, less instinct to fight to protect himself. He was content in the knowledge that he could slaughter many things that might have been a threat one upon a time. Of course, he'd also accepted his place in the hierarchy of vampires older and more experienced than he.
The predator instincts were still there, but there was also the ability to control himself. So for now, he merely kept his expression and tone neutral.
