Ted was really glad that Honour had been able to tell Charlie what he needed to know, and he was glad that Charlie was taking quick action about it. He knew that face on his friend. He had never doubted that the detective would do something about it, there was no way that Charlie could hear a story like that and let it go. And he'd known there would be more belief there than with the other cops. Charlie had seen things.
It was a little sad that none of them quite felt up to eating after Charlie had gone through the trouble with it. But he didn't feel much of an appetite either.
He turned to Honour after Charlie left. "It's going to be okay. I promise."
