(i thought he was already inside. :p)
He had a point, but that didn't change Veronica's nature. And it didn't change that partially, she wanted to hear from other people in the City about their vampire knowledge and encounters and make up her own mind.
She'd never been objective when it came to Logan.
"I thought you could come in," she said. She frowned. "Because I asked you in the last time you were here." Her eyebrows furrowed. "Or are you just being polite?"
She shoved a little bit more food into her face. And chewed. And spoke around it again.
"I just... I don't know. I wanted... to try and be objective about all of this. And I can't be. Because it's you. You could probably get turned into some kind of comic book zombie that I can't even talk to and with no trace of humanity left and I'd still... want to be near you."
With difficulty, Veronica met his eyes. And she swallowed the remaining lump of lo mein in her mouth. "Even if all you were gonna do is rip me apart. And that's... that's a bad subject to bring up. Because you're not all monster and zero humanity. I just... I suck."
