"You could have asked me instead of looking for secondhand answers," Logan said.
It wasn't a surprise that Veronica was looking into things, but that didn't make it hurt any less that she'd been investigating without even talking to him.
Logan lingered in the doorway, waiting for an invitation. He sighed.
"I get that you need to do your own research, but you've barely talked to me since the change. It just might have been nice if you'd asked some of the questions that I know are rattling around in that inquisitive brain of yours."
There was a small smile that was just as human as Logan had ever been. Her inquisitive nature drove him nuts at times, but it was one of the things he loved about her too. Then again, some might argue that part of the attraction between the two of them was the very fact that they could drive each other nuts.
