It was evident that the shop was closed as the store itself was dim, and the sign that displayed such flapped gently against the door from the inside. Bruce had no intention of trying to get ini the shop, despite it being closed. He had simply needed the distraction.
The street was too busy for Bruce to feel any particular presence. Nor did he see anything reflected in the window he was occupied with that would alert him to anything. Of course it wouldn't have been expected for him to see the reflection of a vampire. He had skimmed over a chapter on a few things vampires could and couldn't do (in the opinion of that particular writer) and having a reflection was one of those things vampires didn't have.
Slowly, Bruce turned from the window and simply walked away. He faded easily back into the crowd, hands sliding out of his pockets as he moved so casually into the sea of people. Perhaps he should've been paying more attention to his surroundings but he had no reason to even fathom the thought of anyone lurking in the shadows that might have their sights set on him.
Softly, he hummed to himself as his legs carried him down the sidewalk. He found the night peaceful and calming. It was quite nice.
