Fred smiled at the kiss, not at all minding it. She snuggled into the man/god type person, holding on to him as if she were afraid she'd float away when she let go. She didn't want to go yet, but something had to be done. Something very important, even if she didn't know all the answers. She had some, and they were important.
"Thank you, Jesse." She gave him a good squeeze, not moving away quite yet. Instead she just held to him. Then with a soft sigh, she started to lean back and look up at him.
"I should go. I have to go." She didn't want to; Jesse didn't judge. Jesse accepted and loved her as she was in his own way. She loved him for that reason, even if he was a terribly incorrigible flirt who was going to break someone's heart one day if he hadn't already. No matter if he was with Zoe or not. Whoever Zoe was.
"Thank you." Her hold loosened, and she took a small step away.
