Fred nodded slightly, giving him a sad little smile. He was nice. He was very good. Well, he wasn't always good, but he did lean to the good side of things. He tried his best, and didn't pretend to be a saint.
"You kissed..we kissed!" She had been staring at his lips, and his hand touching her face may have jogged a few memories. "You're Jesse. You're my friend, and you're God. Well, you're not God God because you can't be God God, but you can be Jesse God, which I think you've heard before but not in this particular context - at least not with me. We haven't, have we?" She looked a little apologetic because she didn't want to hurt his feelings.
"No, one thing at a time. You're Jesse God, I'm Fred Burkle, and I saw something bad. Remember, lived it." She nodded before leaning back into Jesse. He was safe. He was something of a touchstone for her now. Jack, Dinah, everyone else, she knew they'd settle in somehow in her memory, but right now Jesse was her focus. That and the something bad. She didn't want to remember it because it was an awful betrayal. It wasn't clear, not exactly, but it was there.
