Fred jumped, nearly hitting her already abused head on the sink nearby. She stared for a moment before she moved quickly to wrap her arms around him. She wasn't sure why at first, but the man who just appeared before her seemed just the right person. He could fix so much; she was sure of it. She had the good grace to be a little embarrassed and shocked that she wasn't so embarrassed or shocked at his just popping in. Also that she was hugging him covered in blood. She held on and cried.
The brainy female had cried in Jack's car. She had probably cried in the hospital, just waking up so very afraid. But, those tears were not these. These tears were inexplicably relieved. She held tightly to the man. The cowboy. No, the god. Big G god? God?
"You came." She knew him; she knew she knew him. That wasn't in question. She also knew she could trust him with her very soul. She couldn't remember why, but she would trust her instincts for the moment and give in to the feeling.
