Eric was very pleased that everything was going to come together for this surprise. Baba would not expect it, not even a little bit. He couldn't wait to see her face.
He followed Erik, keeping track of his surroundings, so he could know the way around if he needed to. It was more habit than thinking he would actually have to have a way to escape. You just didn't live for more than a hundred years without continually knowing what was around you.
He sat in the chair indicated, giving all of his attention to the man and the violin. Eric was ready to jump on the one he'd just heard, to say that was the piece that he wanted, but kept himself silent. If this was the sorts of thing he was going to be presented with, he owed it to Erik and to himself to hear all of them.
His body was completely still as he listened. Eric didn't bother with the little movements he usually made to make humans comfortable. He didn't even blink.
