Oh that's totally fine :) I've been busy anyway ;)
Bruce noted her initial reaction in response to what he had offered about Enigma being best-friends with Damon, finding the face Veronica made to be appropriate to the situation. He was sure it was the same face he himself had made in a few occasions, though he was also sure that the faces he made were a little more harsh and probably included a faint hint of his green passenger. He had been trying to work on his friendship with Damon, despite their past, and it was a struggle but Bruce was trying on Enigma's behalf. He loved her and only wanted to see her happy. If that meant sucking up his pride and hate for Damon, he would do it. Did do it. But only for her.
When Veronica suggested, through words and an obvious gesture, that her boyfriend was a vampire as well, Bruce sighed softly glad he wasn't exactly alone. "Well, I guess that isn't entirely unfortunate, the heart tends to let the mind overcome such things if the connection is worth the risk." He wasn't sure exactly what to say to her. Definitely not a congratulations, nor was he sorry exactly to hear it. If that was what she wanted, he had no right to stop her nor had the the right to complain or prevent it.
She seemed capable of handling herself accordingly.
At least now the research topic made sense.
"I've had a run-in with a vampire myself. When I first arrived here." Bruce said softly, making a small face at the memory, "He was trying to hurt me, and the ending result....well, we came to a truce." He explained. He wasn't about to give himself up. He'd done that already with Lois, and though she had taken it well (as well as anyone could) he wasn't about to drag anyone else in unless he really had to.
