Dean jumped and was about to yank the ring off when she explained what was going on. He glanced down at the ring then at her own. He was a little confused; was she afraid that he might run away? He doubted it. He had a feeling it was more that she wanted to make sure he was alive or still around. He smiled slightly.
"So, now I can find you wherever you got in your head to go fight crime?" He smiled, knowing that she could do the same when he was off hunting. It was helpful to have a way to always find her. He took her hand with the matching ring, noticing that it got only a little warmer without hurting.
"Got to be one of the more useful birthday presents I've gotten." It was one that wasn't death related for a change. Or it wasn't very temporary. It was meant to last for a very long time. He pulled her close and kissed her firmly on the mouth, his free hand lifting to bury in her hair at the back of his head. The kiss continued for a little longer before broke it and whispered against her lips, "I love you."
