Even with the disclaimer, the conversation still came up. Dinah leaned forward for a brief kiss. She appreciated that he wasn't opposed to the conclusion that he'd started to jump to, but she was also a little relieved that he wasn't exactly all gung ho about marriage either. When that had come up with Ollie the first time, things had slowly fallen apart after she'd said no. She didn't want that to happen with Dean. She really didn't want that to happen with Dean. It was possible that she'd eventually get over her fear of things falling apart if they got married and if she ever wanted to walk down the aisle a third time (third time's the charm?) it would be with the man sharing a couch with her.
She gave him a small smile.
"I love you too, but no, it's not what it looks like. Even though..."
Dinah slipped her own ring out of her pocket, knowing that the fact that she had a matching ring just looked worse. Each of the rings had a thick titanium band and compass points where the stone would go. The rings were a little bit heavier than a normal ring due to the tech that was hidden inside, but not heavy enough to be uncomfortable. She was careful to show him that she was putting it on her right ring finger, not her left.
"Put it on and I'll show you what it does. Annie helped me with it. Or I told her what I needed and she made it for me."
Dinah grinned. She liked the young blonde quite a bit. Annie had been ecstatic to help and seemed to have liked the idea.
