Dean smiled as Dinah came back in the room and got closer. He liked it when she was close.
But, then she pulled out a present and started talking. It wasn't that she was talking; Dean wasn't that much of a Neanderthal, but what she was saying made no sense. Birthdays off? They had to worry about birthdays now? And whose birthday was it...
"Oh. You shouldn't have." He sat up a little more, and he meant it. He took the present as if it might explode. "Dinah, before I open this, you should probably know that we don't exactly do big things for birthdays. Sam's was shit, and mine...it usually got lost. It didn't always, but it really wasn't top priority. So, if I forget yours, I'm sorry." He'd try to remember, but he just might let her down.
"Probably shouldn't." He wanted the present, but he didnt' think he deserved it.
