Wash cleared his throat awkwardly as he felt the weight of Tony's stare. He suddenly knew what it was like to feel like the biggest loser in the room. But he nudged his chin up anyway in an attempt to muster at least some pride in the face of disbelief and contempt.
The fake bravado faltered a little when Tony spoke again. Sheepishly, he shook his head no at the question.
"Didn't seem priority," Wash mumbled softly. He smirked and grimaced.
J? Oh, wait, Jarvis. Tony told him about that, Wash thought as he stopped himself from looking around in search of who Tony was talking to. Seemed rude to have a second conversation when Wash was right in front of him but one, Tony was paying for his booze and two, Tony didn't seem to mind the rude thing.
Wash looked down at his drink.
Then Tony handed him what looked to be a dark mirror.
"Um..." Wash replied a little unsure as he took the device, "thanks..."
He squinted at the mirror wondering if it was a trick.
"I'll-uh-I'll just do that later. With the programming," he nodded with fake confidence. "It'll probably...just take a few-uh-seconds."
He had no idea what to do with it and that fact was painfully obvious. He sat the phone on the bar and had to hold himself back from putting his drink on it as it sort of resembled a coaster.
