The choice of fashion was noted but not quite dismissed. Lois herself was in business casual, but some of the most brilliant writers she knew hadn't quite gotten the knack of dressing for work. It didn't mean that the other woman wasn't still competition.
"After the End Times?" Lois repeated. "Was that a tabloid, or...?"
She left the question open ended because she had met people from all different worlds and it was possible that Maggie was from a world where an apocalypse had occurred. Possible. Fascinating if her guess was right.
"Are you new to the City?" Lois asked, gesturing for Maggie to follow her before she started heading toward the breakroom. "Come on, I'll show you around. It's always good to know where to get your coffee," she said with a warm smile. She did have a soft spot for people who had just been plopped into the City after all. She knew what that felt like all too well.
