Bruce sighed, shaking his head at Damon after listening to what he said, finding his word to be true by listening to the tone of his voice. "Look, I'm sorry. I guess my wounds never fully healed and seeing you standing there sort of reminded me that they were still gaping open. That's something I'll have to deal with on my own, and eventually I will get over it." He said softly, pausing to allow himself some distance between himself and the other male.
"I want Enigma to be happy and I want her to have friends. Friends what will help her when she needs it and ones loyal enough to stand by her during hard times." He said softly, shoulders slumping just a little as he spoke. "I...I'd like to start over. I never really gave you a chance to tell your side of the story, or even give you the chance to be part of my life. People make mistakes, and you didn't know you were at fault. I can learn to accept that, not just for Enigma, but for myself too." He breathed, taking a step back.
"Would you stay here and keep her company?" Bruce asked, trying to make amends.
