If he had not taken so ill then perhaps they would have been married by now though she was glad she would not have her arm in a cast for her wedding. She could not imagine their wedding night would have went well had she been like that. Her cheeks went red at the thought. They had been briefly intimate of course but that didn't stop her slight embarrassment when thinking such thoughts. But as he questioned her she truly thought about it. Her ideal wedding changed all the time. She wanted people to know he belonged to her and she to him but Christine did not know many people to justify a large wedding. As he pulled on her hand to kiss again she finally moved even closer. So much so that her hand could be lifted by him with hardly any strain.
Only this time she got a lot more comfortable. Let her legs curl up underneath her, bare feet being covered by her robe.
"Had you asked me that as a child I would have answered with the thought of a lavish feast. So many dancing and congratulating. But now? Now I just want to be yours. I want proof to show others that we have a claim on one another. As long as we are standing together agreeing to be together for the rest of our lives I will not grumble about the reception."
