Christine wanted to help him sit up but would not do such a thing. Such a knock on his dignity would not do either of them good. She barely moved and soon her hand had been captured once more. She had no need to fight it and that gentle stroke soothed her nicely.
But she knew that tone. She knew that he was about to say something that he wished her to listen to and do or something along those thoughts. And as he continued, Christine knew she was right. He didn't wish her to go outside. At least not alone. At least not outside of the protective barriers around the manor.
Her eyes fell to their hands and as he stopped speaking for those few moments she forced herself to look at him. He was worried about her, she knew that much. And it rather meant a lot to have such attention from him. But she could not let him worry. She would have to stop until his recovery had completely finished. Reaching out, trying her best to not be in a position where her chest would be too close to his, she pressed her free hand against his cheek.
"I will stay within our boundaries, Erik. Until such a time you can accompany me to enjoy the beauty surrounding us."
