“I didn't call you daddy,” she snapped, jerking against her bonds. She then turned away, not looking at him. “I was calling for my father.” she muttered. She then blinked, a slow grin spreading across her face. “You don't know!” She burst into laughter, almost kicking her feet in her joy.
He didn't know Edward had arrived. Granted Edward wasn't a threat to Jack...but it did put a crink in the man's plans to have someone outside his control. Edward hadn't been there for the plan, he didn't know the secrets...and Enigma had told him Jack was around...not locked up in Arkham where he was supposed to be.
Oh this could be fun, if Edward told the right people.
The grin didn't leave her face as she leaned back slightly in her chair, watching him. “I live in that 'fancy tower', because that's where all the cool toys are, Jack. And two of our resident super heroes to keep an eye on. I have a fancy boyfriend...who I can manipulate and control and then unleash his giant green alter ego on the city at my leisure. I work at the opera house to make a respectable name for myself and get close to those we will eventually need, like the mayor and those on the side of good.”
She then grinned wider, almost matching his grin, licking her lips. “And the only perverse thing you're getting from me is my foot shoved far enough up your ass that you can taste the leather...I only offer myself once and you turned me down.”
...which was a blatant lie. Anyone who knew Enigma knew she was an eager little slut who would chase you around like a puppy...provided you didn't scare the living daylights out of her as Jack did.
