"Working as a team is the only way this will work." The Amazon looked at the Bat, the true Bat. Her lips thinned for a moment as she realized those could be fighting words. She just looked at him, her eyes narrowing.
"This world demands teamwork - support." She worked better in a team; she always had. She knew that she had missed that, but the Bat didn't usually work in a team. Not until later. Alfred had told her about various moments in the Bat's history, and she could understand why Alfred wished that there had been a team. Zoe knew why she wished for one.
"There are those who know who the Bat used to be." She lightly tapped her side where she'd been cut. "He knows that Bat," a motion to her suit. "Isn't you. There are those who know the Bruce they know isn't walking in it. Two Bats could work to keep you safe." Yes, she had thought of this before, always have a contingency plan. Always. It wasn't until the words left her lips that she realized she'd been considering this. She'd actually known all along that she didn't want to give up the cowl; she was happy doing this, felt complete.
"You left because it got to be too much. The one before you, Bruce." She offered her hand. "You can do good here. We can do good." She was accepting his offer.
