Zoe took the elevator; habit dictated taking the elevator. Of course, she knew habit was a weakness. It was always a weakness. Seeing as her "office" was on this floor, she opted for habit and what was expected. She leaned against the wall, humming softly along with the music or muzak as others called it. She had no idea what the song was, or that it had words, only that played at times in the elevator.
The warrior woman didn't step off the elevator. No, when the doors opened, something felt different. She turned the badge in her hands, so that it was now more of a weapon. Those keycards could be quite painful when used properly. She really was going to have to start carrying more than just her so-called charm when she wasn't on duty.
She slipped off her shoes, picking up on to use as a weapon. The other was jammed in the door to keep it open. And she stepped out. What she saw when she stepped out made her pause again.
