Hannibal had heard the entrance, but hadn't looked up. He'd known it was Simon. Everybody had their own walk, and Simon was no exception. When Simon asked his question, Hannibal laid a finger on the notebook.
"I discovered some very interesting things in your absence. You'll need to catch up on them before you jump in. You'll have questions. I'll have answers. But I've also got questions in return. Things I need to bounce off of you."
He glanced back and noted the strange posture of his cohort. As if Simon had something on his mind, but Hannibal figured it could have to do with whatever had come up.
