"Humans are always too curious for their own good. It's often how they become dead humans." Pam's voice was even. It wasn't a threat, probably. She motioned for Bruce to stand to the side. She had a theory about the man, and was bored enough to test it. "I will answer your questions in a moment."
She hadn't fulfilled her hours in the club, although working the door counted for some of the time. She continued to check ids, looking at them and at the faces that belonged to them. Thankfully they all seemed legal enough, and soon her relief appeared. Honestly, they didn't need a door person, but it seemed appropriate all the same. The club wasn't what it had been before.
Turning easily enough, she motioned for Bruce to follow her in. The interior was a strange mix of two places that did not fit together, yet the City had done it. One a themed club meant to make money more as a tourist trap than anything, the other a honky tonk - as far as Pam was concerned - bar meant for good ole boys who thought they were the last wall of defense against the dark side of life. There was magic here too, which Pam did not care for.
"Curiosity." She motioned. There were some patrons in flannel who looked very unhappy. Some who seemed more than a little uncomfortable. Then there were those Goth wannabes or fangbangers who stared at the ones they just knew were vampires. There were the vampires, in various modes of clothing. She believed she might have seen a demon not of her world walking around, but she wasn't sure. The petite vampire looked up at him, a hint of a brow raise. "Are you curious?"
