Eric didn't really get into holidays. He had seen the evolution of such things and put no more stock into them than most people put into an average Wednesday.
He had to admit, though, that it might be slightly amusing to get one of those garish trees and have his own little family get together around it. Perhaps they could even pose for some kind of macabre family photo with horrible sweaters and a puppy. After all, were they not of the typical American family structure now? Happy parents, two kids?
Turning the idea around in his head, Eric chuckled a bit. He was going to have to bring this up to Baba.
In the crowd, Eric caught the smell of somebody familiar. It wasn't hard to, in a place like the City. It's not like people could suddenly wander off to another state or country. But this scent in particular excited him some. Random run ins with Dinah were on the top of his enjoyment wishlist. She seemed to get so very flustered every time they unexpectedly encountered one another.
He hunted her through the throngs, taking a casual stride once he caught sight of her. Eric slipped onto the bench beside her without so much as a word, waiting for her to take notice. She seemed to be so very caught up in the holiday spirit, if the bags beside her were any indication.
