Bruce moved fluidly through the crowd of people, wondering what he was even doing at a party like this. He wasn't normally one for formal gatherings, and had no idea what prompted him to steer for the party instead of the front door. However, he didn't see anyone around that might be too upset with his presence, so he relaxed a little.
He missed her, and it was difficult being in an environment that reminded him so much of her, but he held in there for a moment longer.
At least, until a waiter appeared and handed him a strange tray, which he accepted. "Thanks.." He said, looking down at the top of the platter, finding it littered with a few of his favorite things, as well as the dyed rose, and the note. Curiously, Bruce picked up the note with his free hand, shifting the tray around so he wouldn't drop it, opening it up slowly.
