Bruce had spent a good while in the lab today, as well as one of the other floors of the Tower, helping his friend Tony repair all of the damage he'd done as result of his rampage. Of course, Bruce was still licking wounds, but despite everything that happened, he knew that he wouldn't be able to miss the opening night of the Opera, Carmen actually being one of his favorite opera's, despite his goings on with the leading lady. So, upon finding the ticket that Enigma had given him a long time ago, in preparation for this very event, Bruce got himself together long enough to go up to the entire floor that Tony had reserved for him, pushing the thoughts away of Enigma that were steadily creeping their way into his mind, finding something both expensive and appropriate to wear to the opening night/gala event.
He wouldn't stay too long at the gala, he had a lot of work to do and Tony was going to need his help in finishing the rest of the repairs, which Bruce was more than willing to help him with. Especially considering that was his doing in the first place.
He left word with Jarvis, to tell Tony where he was headed, just in case the other man wondered or in case there was any trouble. Bruce didn't know what to expect as far as the guests list was concerned, but he had a feeling Enigma's dad was going to be there. He knew that the other man was creeping around town somewhere, and he didn't know the man well enough to make up his mind on how her dad would feel about this whole situation between Bruce and Enigma.
All he could do was go and hope for the best. It wasn't like he couldn't leave if things got heated or there was trouble brewing.
So, he left for the event.
The show itself was amazing, Enigma really did a magnificent job delivering the aria's, and he was very impressed with the entire performance. There was nothing like a good opera to help one clear their mind. At least for a little bit. He had always been good at pushing things to the side for a few moments, letting them collect at the surface of his mind.
After the show, Bruce headed to where the gala was taking place, lingering at the balcony at the top of the stairs for a moment, brown eyes scanning the floor for anyone he knew, figuring a lot of people would be here that he would be familiar with, however he didn't seem to recognize anyone.
He stood there for a moment, breathing out softly, before moving towards the staircase, descending to the bottom level where all of the guests were, fading into the crowd.
