Enigma ignored their conversation, instead leading them to the car, nodding to Marcus who opened the door for the threesome. “Damon, Elena, this is Marcus, my right hand and bodyguard...pretend he's a shadow.” It wasn't that she meant it to be rude, but simply that Marcus followed her everywhere outside her residence and for those unused to such actions, it could be disconcerting to have him constantly there. It was simple advice, treat him like a shadow, nothing more then a wisp and you'd easily get used to his silent presence.
Then of course, there was the danger of ignoring the bodyguard at your own peril, but Enigma trusted the pair not to try to randomly kill her.
She slipped into the car, taking the bench seat that left her back to the driver's cabin, leaving Damon and Elena the more defensible and open seat across from her, guessing that the newbie vampire wouldn't want a stranger at her back. Enigma wasn't quite sure how vampires reacted to being cornered and odd situations, but it was a safe guess.
