She was a damn good reporter, from what he'd seen. And he knew lousy ones. He knew the kind that waffled on the ethics part. Lois had determination and resolve and she was in it for the truth, as much as anyone could be. The real truth was difficult to get outta people. Always was.
He took the turkey out of the oven and a tray of extra stuffing, and that was about that.
"Alright," Lindsey said. "I'm thinkin' I'll slice up some of this turkey, and we can do a buffet style kind of a thing. Side's'll stay warmer that way."
It was obvious he wasn't big on being formal. His dining room table was usually covered in papers, anyway.
