The Amazon smiled slightly; she could always depend on Wash to make light of a situation, unless it was one that involved herself and a certain captain. She followed him easily enough, and didn't seem to mind the quiet. Actually, it was nice. Where she worked had many people, where she shopped again, and where she lived - though slightly more upscale - people. There were people everywhere, and sometimes she liked being alone.
"It's not bad. Looks to be about what I had when I first got a place." She looked around. "Maybe it's a new place. Never know how many people are actually here - City's got its own." She shrugged and stepped into the elevator as soon as it opened.
"So, you want the bad news or the good news? Though you pretty much have the good news already." She was trying to smile through this, but her eyes were sad. He knew her better than most, save for maybe a man who'd fought at her side, a girl who could read minds, and a Cowboy God. She was really trying.
