He shifted the bag in his hand.
"How common is that? Should I be prepared for a veritable spectrum of hues? There a right term for someone with green skin? Wouldn't want to offend accidentally," Wash asked, pulling at the strings of his humor for distraction.
But even the pitiful attempt couldn't distract him completely and he had to stop his walking and dig the tips of his fingers into the furrow of his brow. He looked up a little helplessly.
