Jo didn't answer right away, but merely took a long pull from her beer. She looked at Jesse's human form, the more fantastic image still burned into her memories.
"I think that I sure am glad you're going around helping people," she said. "I'd hate to be on your bad side."
Looks could be deceiving, but that form was about more than just looks. The power associated with it was undeniable. It wasn't a feeling that Jo could describe-it was simply there.
"What's it like?" she asked. Maybe a simple question, maybe even a little dumb. But she couldn't not ask. Not when faced with something like that.
