Jesse hadn't given much thought about just appearing in Jo's house. Considering what he'd seen her do to vampires and how well she seemed to know how to do it.
He turned and saw her reaching and he saw what for, and held his hands up, hoping that she'd see that it was just him, just that guy she'd met in that alley that one time. Nothing scary here. Just a guy. Sort of. Sure, he looked like a guy, but he was more.
"Hey now, sugar, it's just me." He had no real worry over the gun or the bullet that would come out of it, other than it would hurt. But he also had no doubt that she'd use it if she thought she needed to.
"Shoulda popped in at the front door, I'm guessin. Sorry. Just thought it was 'bout time I came and kept my promise to ya. Took me a while, but I said I'd show ya what I could also look like. If ya still wanna see, of course. If ya'd just like me to get the fuck out I can also do that. I don't really feel like gettin shot today."
