"Not much boating around here. I've been on a yacht, but it wasn't that much fun." Charlie didn't add that the time he'd been out there had either been to threaten someone or be threatened by someone. He really didn't care for the labguy to know that much about him. Plus, that had been before.
"Bowling could work. You could take up knitting." He hadn't been asked for advice. Charlie was just the type to give it, whether it was wanted or not. It wasn't always bad advice either. Some people just didn't appreciate input they hadn't asked for.
"We have a series of murders; the targets had all worked in the Asylum. they've been going on a year plus. The m.o. ranges, but it all feels the same. Doesn't feel like copycats." Yes, he was going with his gut. "There are others who look like the latest ingenue over at the Opera House. And then some random crimes." He wasn't being overly nonchalant about it, so much as there were crimes that needed to be handled.
"Work load demands it I guess. City's tired of giving us the normal people to work with." He shrugged. No one he'd met was overly normal, not if they were brought here.
